The international fintech myPOS concluded 2022 with serious growth in the Romanian market.
“We experienced a turnover increase of 177%, thanks to clients in the wholesale sector as well as the food-and-beverage, health-and-beauty, taxi, retail and rental branches. Our predictions for this year are that we will double the growth yet again”, said Laura Pup, who leads the Romanian entity of the award-winning fintech.
Pup justifies the growth with the company’s unique proposition – myPOS is the first and still the only fintech in Europe offering merchants modern and affordable payment tools, plus a chance to immediately get their funds, received from card transitions on the myPOS platform, without paying extra for that.
Last year, transactions on the myPOS platform rose by 92% in Europe and 98% in Romania, and this trend is expected to continue.
“Recent research shows that companies lose more than 5% of their revenues due to payment inefficiencies and fragmentation. Research also shows that a POS terminal can increase turnover by up to 25% because you get not only modern payment options but also a way to streamline your business,” Laura Pup explains.
In Romania, the number of myPOS terminals has already drastically increased in 2022 – by 200%, to reach more than 12.000 in the market. myPOS is known for providing multifunctional POS devices that are equipped with a free data card giving merchants unparalleled connectivity. This is why the fintech is already trusted by brands like Samsung Austria and Coca-Cola HBC Hungary while in Romania it’s currently solidifying partnerships with several big clients.
Additionally, the myPOS platform is preferred by small- and medium-sized businesses because it allows merchants to open multi-currency accounts, track payments on the go through a mobile app, resolve company expenses with a free business card, pay suppliers, use e-commerce and much more. And all of this without long-term contracts and monthly fees.
“Ultimately, our goal is to help SMEs become more competitive and build smart payment operations for a digital economy. If you are still unsure how financial technology can grow your business, our team can help,” Pup adds.
Business owners can stop for a free myPOS consultation at the Grand Offices Building on Calea Floreasca 55, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 18:00. The myPOS Bucharest showroom, which opened last year, was part of the company’s 2022 expansion, which included new stores in Romania, France and Italy.
