For those interested in Romanian manufactured products, Business Review talked with Irina Wagner – co-founder of Wagner Arte, a porcelain business founded in 2005 by sisters Irina and Ana Wagner, when they decided to open a workshop in the center of Bucharest. Since then, a lot of magic happened and countless porcelain collections, both jewelry and tableware.

How do you describe your work to someone who doesn’t know anything about your offers?

We are a workshop that has been practicing jewelry design and porcelain decoration for over 20 years. We brought a craft and an industry with a tradition in Romania, porcelain, at the rank of art but most important, we pioneered and innovated in this field by bringing to the Romanian market for the first time Porcelain Jewelry by proposing porcelain in unique combinations with other materials.

Porcelain with metals and precious stones has resulted in spectacular jewelry. For the first time, porcelain appeared in small furniture objects or lighting objects, photophore paintings. There were practically no limits to what I proposed with this material, taking it out of the “back-to-back art” paradigm, as an arch in time between classic and contemporary.

On the other hand, we bring to our audience porcelain objects related to tableware in a design specific to a house, objects that can be customized according to the wishes of our customers, ennobled with gold and pure platinum. Tea sets, coffee sets, table sets with lush decorations are typical of the design proposed by Wagner Arte.

Personalization is also an important attribute that gives value to our creations, for both jewelry or sets and tableware.

Wagner Arte is a Romanian brand that offers art objects, manufactured with a lot of professionalism and attention to details. How did you prepare for this festive period? Do you expect increased sales?

We think that after two difficult years, people’s appetite for celebration will increase and need to express themselves. That is why we are ready to respond to this need. So we created new collections of Christmas decorations, table sets, and unique jewelry that will delight our audience.

What’s the most important lesson you have learned by creating your product?

I learned that beauty is a universal currency and cannot fail. That is why we expect the commercial part to rise to the heights of the proposed beauty. Naturally, beauty appeals to everyone, people need it to feel good. And we would also learn that the sky is the limit when it comes to creating a porcelain object. Everything the mind can imagine already exists, as Pablo Picasso said.
