De’Longhi or Bosch might take Nokia’s place at Jucu

Italian electro appliances producer De’Longhi is currently in discussions with the Cluj authorities to take the place of Finnish company Nokia that announced last year the end of production at Jucu, according to Ziarul Financiar, which quotes market sources.

 The president of the Cluj County Council Alin Tise said during a TV show on Realitatea channel that the contract with a possible investor, whom he did not mention, is about to be signed, which will bring investments of EUR 30 million.

 The Italian company has over 7,000 employees worldwide and several plants in China, Russia and Italy.

 However, De’Longhi is not the only potential investor interested in taking Nokia’s place. As previously announced, Bosch may also be in advanced negotiations.

 The German company expressed interest in making an investment in the Tetarom industrial park, close to the Nokia facilities, as previously stated by Alin Tise, president of the Cluj county council, for the media.
