Metro Cash&Carry Romania launches online store

The first online store operated by a local cash & carry retailer was launched this week by Metro Cash&Carry under the Metro Office Direct name (www.metro.ro/direct). The store targets companies and will sell a total of about 4,500 office stationery products and various electronic appliances.

“We are very proud to be the first cash & carry operator to offer its professional clients the opportunity to take advantage of online commerce with an improved product portfolio compared to the one available in the stores and special offers which are available only online,” said Marc Carena, clients management director with Metro Cash & Carry Romania.

Part of German Metro Group, Metro Cash & Carry has been present in Romania since 1996. It now operates 32 stores in 24 Romanian cities.
