Horia Adrian, Romanian executive with over 18 years of management experience in the LafargeHolcim group, becomes the new Country CEO at Holcim Romania, a position which was previously held by Sofiane Benmaghnia, who has decided to pursue personal projects.
At the same time, Horia Adrian is taking over regional responsibilities through the role of Market Head LafargeHolcim for emerging Europe, which includes Serbia, Bulgaria, Moldova and Azerbaijan.
The local operational managers in the specified countries will report directly to Adrian, and he will report to Marcel Cobuz, who was recently named the head of LafargeHolcim’s operations for the Europe region.

Horia Adrian is a graduate of a Master’s Degree in Business Management at Anjou University as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering at the “Dunarea de Jos” University in Galati. He joined LafargeHolcim in 2000 as a project manager, was a Sales, Marketing & Logistics Director between 2004-2010 and CEO for Garadagh Cement, Holcim’s subsidiary in Switzerland.
