Academy+Plus has started its activity in Bucharest, where it aims to train 140 IT experts over the next 6-9 months. The program attracted Societe Generale European Business Services, BNP Paribas Personal Finance Central Europe Technologies and Orange as its first partners.
The IT training school, which offers free classes, is unique in the Romanian IT ecosystem and offers training based on practice and team work.
“With the launch of the Academy+Plus programming school, we brought to Romania one of the most ambitious professional training projects in the world and, starting from a curriculum adapted to the current reality, we went for an alternative learning that supports the increase in quality of IT experts,” said Daniela Buscan, Academy+Plus program director. “The Romanian IT industry has a deficit of over 50,000 experts. By involving companies directly in the training process of It professionals, we have the opportunity to reduce this deficit and train the experts in agreement with market demands. This way we support the IT industry in Romania, and Academy+Plus graduates have the biggest chances to find fast jobs in the IT industry.
Training is done by mentors who work in IT companies. “Throughout the 6-9 months, on average, the companies support us through mentors who get involved alongside us to help trainees get training in agreement with market demands,” Buscan said.
Academy+Plus is part of the international network of Ecole 42 in Paris, with centres in Paris, Kiev, Chisinau, Johannesburg and Fremont, Silicon Valley.
