First local photography hub opens in Bucharest

The first photography hub in Romania, HubPhoto, gets launched this Friday, in a building on Jean Louis Calderon Street – Polona, Bucharest. Two local entrepreneurs passionate about photography and video are behind the project which wants to become a platform for photography lovers.

“We want to create a real school of photography for those who want to learn and to bring the technology closer to the people, helping them use the latest technologies in becoming respectable photographers. I have been keeping since my childhood photos made by a photographer that my parents used to call to create pictures of whose quality I am impressed of even today. The photographer was a figure respected in the community and with HubPhoto we want to create a pool of specialists that will enjoy the same respect,” said Doru Paducel, one of the two founders..

On his turn, Marian Ciubotaru, the other founder said that „HubPhoto represents both a working space for photographers and a place where we will organize thematic workshops and classes presented by experimented photographers. At the same time, we offer a space completely equipped technically for photo sessions, as well as spaces equipped for day to day activities. Moreover, we have in plan to organize a series of launching and testing equipment events”.

On a 150 square meters aria, HubPhoto offers 10 work spaces, a studio, a meeting place with the clients, consultancy and operational support. In order to access the space and the available equipment there is the possibility of choosing more types of subscriptions that can be structured according to one needs.

The HubPhoto initiators have already signed some partnerships meant to come in the meeting of the users, amongst which one with the graphic tablets producer Wacom and one with the photo-video equipment producer Olympus.
