Population’ deposits in RON increased by 10.7 percent during May 2016-May 2017, up to RON 106.1 billion, according to a press release of National Bank of Romania (BNR).
„Population’ deposits in RON were up by 10.7 pct during May 2016-May 2017, while the non-governmental residents’ deposits increased in May by 0.9 percent compared with April, up to RON 279.52 billion. The households’ deposits in RON dropped by RON 47.6 million,” says the release.
The deposits in RON of companies increased by 3.5 percent up to RON 84.42 billion. On May 31 the deposits in RON of companies increased by 10.1 percent compared with May 2016.
„The deposits in foreign currency of population’s and companies’ residents, in RON, dropped by 0.4 percent up to RON 88.97 billion. Compared with the same month of 2016, the foreign currency deposits expressed in RON increased by 6.3 percent. The deposits in foreign currency of households in RON increased by 9.1 percent and the deposits in foreign currency of companies expressed in RON increased by 0.6 percent, says BNR.
