Banking deposits in RON of Romanians up to RON 104.5 bln in February

The banking deposits in RON of Romanians went up in February by 1 percent to RON 104.5 billion. On February 28, the deposits in RON of the households increased by 12.7 percent compared with February 29 2016, according to the National Bank of Romania (BNR) data.

The deposits in RON of the companies increased by 0.4 percent up to RON 81.06 billion. On February 28 the deposits in RON of companies increased by 9.6 percent compared with February 29 2016.

The deposits in foreign currency of the households and individuals expressed in RON, went up by 0.3 percent up to RON 86.6 billion, while the deposits in foreign currency went up by 0.1 percent  up to EUR 19.17 billion.

Compared with the same month of 2016, the deposits in foreign currency of residents expressed in RON went up by 3.2 percent, the deposits in foreign currency of households expressed in RON went up by 9.1 percent and the deposits in foreign currency of companies expressed in RON went down by 8.2 percent.
