Gestamp, the Spanish group specialized in the design, development and manufacturing of components for the auto industry, is expanding on the Romanian market by acquiring the main stakes of the Romanian factory whose main client is Renault-Nissan through its subsidiary, Dacia.
The company is placed on the outskirts of Pitesti, the main auto industry center from Romania and has over 200 employees and a total value of EUR 17 million of bills issued in 2016. Gestamp made the acquisition through its Turkish subsidiary Beyçelik Gestamp.
The Romanian factory currently supplies pressed items of small and medium sizes and assemblies. Gestamp aims to increase the turnover of the unit by manufacturing components with added value.

The company is active in 21 countries and 8 out of 10 cars produced every year worldwide are manufactured on markets where Gestamp has production factories.
