German Metro Group has sold the four Real hypermarkets that it still owned in Romania, five years after selling 20 Real stores to Auchan.
The stores were bought by Cyprus-based Terazone Enterprises Limited, according to a company statement submitted to Profit.ro.
The buyer is represented by several people, including Dusan Wilms, who managed the operations of Metro Cash&Carry and of Real in Romania.
The four stores recorded sales of EUR 50 million last year.
Metro has 25 Cash&Carry units in Romania, five Metro Punct stores, an online office supplies store and an extensive franchise network of proximity stores under the brand La Doi Pasi.
