INS: Average net income in Romania up to RON 2,018 in June

The average net income amounted to RON 2,018 in June, up by RON 15 compared with May. The biggest incomes were registered in IT services (RON 5,295), while the lowest were in hotels and restaurants (RON 1,251).

The gross nominal salary grew to RON 2,874, which was a 0.7 percent increase compared to May.

„In June 2016, the level of average net income was bigger than in May, in most of the activities in economical sector, as a result of bonuses offered by employers (including quarterly or annual prizes, holidays or special performances), prizes in kind and aid in money, shares of the net profit and other funds, but also production and bigger incomes, ” says the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

The most significant increases of the average net salary registered in beverages production, with 14.5 percent in editing activities, water transports, computers and electronics and optical products manufacturing, substances and chemical products manufacturing, 10-12.5 percent in telecommunication, textile products manufacturing, pharmaceutical products manufacturing and industrial activities, cars manufacturing, equipments, between 6 and 8 percent, in metalliferous mineral extraction, crude oil and natural gases extraction, tire products and plastics products manufacturing, non-metalliferous products manufacturing, real estate transactions, leather tanning, air transport, paper and paper products manufacturing, between 3 and 4.5 percent.

The most important decreases of average net salary were registered in land transports and conduct transports, collection and cleaning of used waters, tobacco products manufacturing, depositing and auxiliary transport activities- between 3 and 5 percent and between 1.5 percent and 3 percent in cinematographic production activities, R&D, collection and elimination of waste.
