With the purpose of encouraging cultural services in Romania, a bid for organizational development projects was organized which targets cultural operators in the public and private sector as well as the public, local and central administration on the cultural sector. The projects in the bid focus on the creation of new cultural spaces, the development of new cultural products, services, cultural activities which generate income, new strategies for the organization as well as the promotion of the organization's image and its positioning on the regional and international cultural market. On top of these, the projects also have in mind the development of public cultural policies and new programs for financing culture. The selected beneficiaries will receive consultancy and financial support for the implementation of their projects during 2008. This process is meant to improve their managerial performance as well as their position on the local and international cultural market. The maximum grant for a project is EUR 7,278, half of which is used for consultancy services granted by United Experts and the rest for implementation costs such as promotional materials, organization of seminars and roundtables and event production. United Experts is financially assisted in 2007 and 2008 by the Swiss Cultural Program South-East Europe and Ukraine – a program by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and Pro Helvetia.
