The Christmas Tree Festival is a fundraiser organized every year by Save the Children Romania. The focus of the event is the auction night when the trees created by designers, associations or public figures enter the bid to finance the projects developed by Save the Children Romania.
This year the trees will be auctioned on December 5 during a gala bringing together representatives of the business community, mass media and the political and cultural scene.
The funds raised during the auction will be used by Save the Children Romania in a program for social and educational reintegration of children from poor families.
Previous editions of the Festival raised EUR 705,200 which helped over 800 children and their parents to get access to social and educational services. Two new educational centers were also inaugurated in Timisoara and Targoviste.
