Sema Parc developers buy adjoining Romcolor site to build offices

The existing factory will be demolished and the 2,000-sqm piece of land included in the Sema Parc project, developed by Radulea's River Invest on the former Semanatoarea site. Romcolor, which produces dyes and additives for plastic products, will relocate its factory by the end of next year. The company, controlled by Greek Plastika Kritis with 78.9 percent, and Romanian businesswoman Georgiana Pogonaru with 19.8 percent, has already bought plots of land near Bucharest to which to relocate activities, but has not yet decided on the new location.
The relocation costs will reach EUR 4 million, according to Pogonaru.
The former Romcolor factory will become the site for some of the office buildings which will be included in the Sema Parc project. The mixed project is currently in the second phase of the office segment it will include, and is underway with the residential segment, to feature 1,200 apartments in total. Works on the hotel that will be included in the project should also start by the end of this year.
Overall, Sema Parc will be built on 42 hectares of land in the western part of Bucharest, with an investment which should reach EUR 750 million.
