Austrian government awards JW Marriott Bucharest GM for business and charity work

A native of Graz, Austria, Strohmayer, who has held his current position since 2003, was praised for his involvement in activities for disadvantaged children and people, as the vice-president of United Way Romania, and working closely with several organizations in this field. Strohmayer also actively represents business interests in Romania by serving on the boards of both the Foreign Investors Council and the Austrian Business Club in Bucharest. He received the Decoration of Honor in Silver for Services to the Republic of Austria from the Austrian Ambassador.
