Tech giant Samsung has launched a safety screen app that helps the users, especially the children to maintain the right distance between the eyes and the mobile devices they are using.
The app incorporates an advanced technology of facial recognition that uses friendly animation that appears once with the closing of the screen when the device is held too close to the eyes and the unblocking and the opening of the screen takes place after the device is hold at the minimum safety recommended distance.
According to the data provided by Vision Council, there is a growth of myopia that the specialists say it’s generated by a mix of genetic factors and of the circumstances that include the prolonged usage of the digital devices and the lower exposure to natural light.
The app was developed by Samsung Gulf Electronics in collaboration with Leo Burnett MENA. It is available for Android and Apple smartphones.
