In January last year, Pelican Com started the construction of Atlantis complex near Pantelimon Road, its first project on the local market. The complex, consisting of four buildings of 11 floors totaling 134 apartments, will be completed in February 2009, according to the developer. “Half of the residential units have been sold, of which one third have been acquired by foreign companies and individuals, while the rest went to Romanians,” said Durace. The company also targets projects in southern and eastern Bucharest, besides developing a commercial center in the heart of the city, but only as a “remote plan,” according to the company representative.
Pelican Com was established in 1998. It mainly runs construction works on the local market, and is involved in Bucharest-based projects such as Duke and Yapan hotels, business center Traian and the Colas headquarter.
