These two musicians will team up for another performance as well, the Bohemian Rhapsody concert that will take place on November 4 at the National Museum of Art, which contains fragments from Johannes Brahms and Antonin Dvorak and the Finale concert that will take place on November 9 at the Romanian Athenaeum which showcases the works of composers such as Antonio Vivaldi and Dmitri Sostakovici.
A day earlier, on November 4, the concert “The Goldberg Variations” at Saint Joseph Cathedral will see a trio formed of violinist Daishin Kashimoto, viola player Razvan Popovici and cello player Bernhard Naoki Hedenborg play together Johann Sebastian Bach.
In Bucharest the concerts will take place in special locations such as the Romanian Athenaeum, George Enescu National Museum, National Museum of Art and Cotroceni Palace. However, several other unique locations less usual for chamber music concerts such as the Bragadiru Palace and the Saint Joseph Cathedral will host performances.
On November 13 and 14 the festival will move to Cluj and Timisoara where there will be two Notturno concerts with works by Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann.
The event also includes an educational component as it encourages young talents to express their creativity within an educational program called “Sonoro-Interferences.” Under the slogan “We need real musicians not merely good instrument players” the program consisted of two workshops with artists in residence such as poet Mircea Dinescu, cultural journalist Dan Parvu and conductor Massimiliano Matesic from Zurich. This program will culminate with a concert in which young musicians will perform together with established ones on November 12 at the National Museum of Art.
