A new EMBA program will be offered to Romanian students as the result of a partnership between Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj, the UK University of Hull, Banca Transilvania and Electrogrup. The first cohort of the new EMBA, which will be delivered in Cluj-Napoca, will start their studies in February 2015.

The business program targets students who have more than 3 years of work experience. The courses will be delivered by teaching staff from the University of Hull, at UBB, and the curricula, teaching and examinations are also those of the University of Hull. The program includes one module in the UK at the Hull campus. At the end of their studies, the business school graduates will receive the degree from the British university. This MBA is internationally accredited by AMBA (The Association of MBAs), and by AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).

The cost of the program is of EUR 7,500 per year, a sum that can be paid in installments. The manager of the EMBA program is Dr. Andrew Taylor, Ph.D., who has almost 20 years of experience as entrepreneur and in management consultancy.

“Our university has the honor to host the first Executive MBA offered by a British university — Hull University Business School — thus contributing to the complex process of change of the economic education in Romania. The students will benefit from the teachings of internationally renowned specialists, thus shaping and developing their managerial skills,” said university professor Ioan-Aurel Pop, PhD, Rector of Universitatea Babeş-Bolyai.

“We anticipate that there will be great interest from many high caliber executives in the region, looking to enhance their education and skills through this program,” said professor Terry Williams, Dean of Hull University Business School.

Financing solutions are available from Banca Transilvania to those looking to enroll in the program.
