“Despite a very challenging year with increases of the telecommunications operational costs, we’ve been able to offer more benefits like data and roaming to all our customers. The recent certification from P3 as Best mobile network for data is a result of our significant investments in the country on a long term in order to offer Romanians best in class services. We’ve also focused on strengthening company’s performance as top employer branding in the telecom industry and we’ve conducted one of the biggest hiring processes on the market for about 1000 people in the customer operations team, IT and engineer ones. Vodafone continued to drive innovation in Romania by launching the first live NB-IoT network with a country-wide coverage, an important step that consolidates our leadership position on the IoT market and will be able to improve different industrial sectors within the digital economy in the next years. The year to come will be full of challenges, but also important opportunities for new technologies. Also, we’ll maintain our commitment to continue investing in Romania through acquiring UPC and launch, after the approval from the European Commission, a complete and competitive portfolio of both mobile and fix services”, stated Murielle Lorilloux, CEO Vodafone Romania.
