UberGreen used by almost 10,000 people in Bucharest in 3 months

In the last three months after Uber launched UberGreen, the company informs that the service was used by 9,782  people and they travelled 71,769 kilometers.

The electric cars of UberGreen reach its users in 8.7 minutes and the longest ride was 34.7 kilometers.

“The pilot’s results are encouraging. We are currently working on the development of the service in Bucharest and we invite companies that want to invest in the development of electric mobility. We discussed with representatives of the Ministry of the Environment and expressed our openness to cooperate so that more and more people have access to a 100% electric mobility service, convenient and a button away. We believe that the future of transport is electric, shared with others and autonomous. There is still a long way to go, but services like UberGreen are a step in that direction, “said Nicoleta Schroeder, general manager, Uber Romania.

Bucharest is the first Central and Eastern European City where Uber offers electric rideshare services, in partership with Eldrive.

În Europe, the company offers electric services in London, Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Porto, Zurich, Munich and Bucharest.
