Sony Europe launches TV models with Netflix Calibrated Mode

Sony Europe launches the new TV sets AF9 OLED and ZF9 LCDs from the Sony Series MASTER with Netflix Calibrated Mode. This series will be available in stores starting October 15^th and are ready for preorder.

The AF9 OLED model with 55 inch (140 cm) costs RON 13,650 and the model with 65 inch (164 cm) is RON 18,200. The ZF9 with 65 inch (164 cm) has a price-tag of RON 13.500 and the 75 inch (189 cm) is RON 22,750.

Both AF9 OLED and ZF9 LCD offer the highest picture quality due to the many exclusive Sony technologies included and the new X1 Ultimate image processor. Sony’s goal is to create extremely faithful TVs as content creators have intended, and the MASTER series offers a picture quality close to that of a professional monitor in a movie production studio.

The two models of the MASTER, AF9 and ZF9 series are equipped with a new generation X1 Ultimate processor. This processor can detect and analyze each object in an image using Sony’s new Object-based Super Resution technology. Also, the Object-based HDR remaster has been greatly improved, with every object now individually remastered to achieve better depth, more accurate texture and more realistic images.

Since 2000, together with Sony Pictures Entertainment, a Picture mode has been created that meets the criteria of content creators, and the HDR has recently been included in the film making process. For the MASTER series, in collaboration with Netflix, Sony launches “Netflix Calibrated” mode. This unique functionality has been conceived to reflect the same picture quality as the television studio to keep artists’ creative vision and intent. Simply accessing a menu of settings, Netflix Calibrated mode faithfully reproduces images to give life to stories. Entertainment enthusiasts can now enjoy this experience when watching their favorite TV series, movies, documentaries and more on Netflix.

The MASTER series is also compatible with CalMAN, the best display calibration software on the Portrait Display. CalMAN is widely used by professionals as a tool to ensure quality control according to strict content developers’ requirements for broadcasting, production and postproduction. Thanks to CalMAN, image quality is maintained throughout the life of the TV.

The AF9 and ZF9 series include Android TV, which allows you to explore a complex world of movies, music, photos, search options, games, applications, and more. Voice Search makes it easy to find content, ask questions, or control the TV. Equipped with built-in Chromecast, it can easily send content from your smartphone or tablet directly to your TV, while accessing Google Play allows you to watch your favorite movies, TV shows, and games on the TV.

The Google Assistant makes it easy to use the two AF9 and ZF9 TVs. The two models have built-in microphones, so the user can ask the Google Assistant to start any TV show, movies, and more.

Entertainment content can now be accessed quickly, only through the voice of the user, thanks to Hands-free Voice Search.
