KFactory is the first Industry 4.0 startup funded in Romania, which aims to innovate the entire production process by understanding how all the variables involved influence its performance.

Continuing the very good evolution of recent times, KFactory launches as an integrated part of its platform an innovative concept, the first team of virtual engineers dedicated to the manufacturing industry. This new KFactory platform is developed in partnership with Druid and UiPath, using the Druid platform to train virtual engineers specializing in production and UiPath technology to extract the necessary data from various digital sources. Standard communication between staff and virtual engineers is through Microsoft Teams.

In this way, KFactory customers around the world, regardless of size and level of digitization, can take advantage of the most valuable results from the best technologies.

“By launching the team of virtual engineers we are adding more value to production companies, helping operations managers make decisions quickly based on real-time data from various sources and allowing them to spend more time in the factory,” said Adrian Dima, Kfactory co-founder.

“We democratize access to internal data in this way, removing existing knowledge barriers. Our virtual engineers understand operational processes, extract real-time data and serve it in natural language to decision makers, leaving them to spend more time where it really matters,” added Vlad Cazan, KFactory co-founder.

KFactory proposes a two-step solution:

  1. For customers at a basic level of digitalisation, the KFactory solution is ready to collect data directly from the production line and compile it quickly, providing decision support to operational managers;
  2. For enterprises with a mature IT level, using RPA (UiPath technology) data is extracted from vertical systems (e.g. asset management solutions, warehouse, ERP, etc.) or unstructured documents (Excel files). Then, the data is compiled by KFactory and delivered to natural language (Druid) operational managers through Microsoft Teams.

“By partnering with KFactory we offer a unique value proposition, which I am convinced will attract the attention of mature production enterprises, where decisions are supported by the wealth of information in domestic systems. Intelligent virtual engineers are an elegant solution that provides agility and performance in the decision-making process, providing real-time information through simple and natural language” says Raluca Tătăruşanu, Sales Director, DRUID.

“We are convinced, now more than ever, perhaps, that sustained investment in technology is a catalyst for modern progress. We are pleased to see that Microsoft technologies help KFactory innovate the entire production chain by integrating the collaborative capabilities of the Teams platform into the workflow of virtual engineers.,” said Daniel Rusen, Marketing and Operations Director of Microsoft Romania.

The KFactory team of virtual engineers is a unique concept that covers vertical processes in a factory, such as production, maintenance, quality and internal supply chain, stimulating the adoption of digital systems without the difficulty and complexity of integration projects.
