After 4 years, the Romanian gymnastics team has won the gold and silver medals at the European Women’s Artistic Gymnastics that took place in Brussels on May 13th.

Thus, Catalina Ponor grabbed the gold medal as she claimed the balance beam.

On the same apparatus, the silver medal was won by another Romanian gymnast, Larisa Iordache.

On the floor exercise, the same two Romanians won these two medals, but in reversed order: Iordache grabbed the gold while her collague, Ponor, won the silver.

On the other hand, another Romanian gymnast, Sandra Izbasa won gold on the vault apparatus and in the teams section.

The Romanian women’s gymnastics team is trained by Octavian Bellu and Mariana Bitang, who were declared the best coaches in the history of sports, having won more than 300 medals in important competitions.
