Ten years ago, folk artist Florian Pitis launched the festival Folk You, with a manifesto of “the resistance movement against poured stupidity”, in Vama Veche, the last resort of the Black Sea from Romania.
During this tenth edition, the organizers want to promote folk music to youngsters, who can apply to perform.
The entrance of the festival is free of charge and gathers annually the most important names of the Romanian folk scene, as well as jazz and pop artists who sustain this music genre. The event will take place between July 31 and August 3, in Vama Veche.
