After One Herastrau Park became the first residential complex in Bucharest to receive an Excellent rating in the Green Homes certification program last year, another important project developed by One United Properties, One Charles de Gaulle, has received the Green Homes certificate from the Romanian Green Building Council.

One Charles de Gaulle is a high-end residential project in the Primaverii neighbourhood, two minutes away from the Herastrau park. This premium complex has an elegant contemporary design with high-quality finishes, and offers the benefits of green buildings with superior energy efficiency, a characteristic of One United Properties’ projects.

The Green Homes certification awarded by the Romanian Green Building Council for One Charles de Gaulle relates to the project’s compliance with specific requirements, such as: sustainable materials, low-carbon print materials, energy efficient systems and fixtures, with a low pollution level, a healthier quality of the indoor environment through finishes using near-zero volatile organic compounds, a strategic location close to numerous facilities and public transport services, a superior energy efficiency of the building, the implementation of pollution prevention and reduction measures in the execution phase, which included the separate collection of waste on site and turned the building into an example of good practices, which was even appreciated by the European Commission.

One Charles de Gaulle includes 33 housing units in two buildings, with a total built surface of 8,000 sqm, including basement level, technical and common spaces, and a total livable surface of 4,000 sqm. The complex has a spectacular interior design by Lemon Interior Design.

“Ever since the beginning, we realized that One Charles de Gaulle benefits from all the coordinates it needed to be the most exclusive residential project in Bucharest and even in Romania. Besides being located in a high-end historical area, its low-height regime and the top architecture and design, it now also has the green certificate from the Romanian Green Building Council. It’s another recognition of the constant concern we have for efficient, healthy, sustainable buildings, which can anticipate the client’s and the environment’s needs. All of One United Properties’ projects comply with the green certificate requirements, and the good sustainability practices we implement contribute to promoting environmental performance for the real estate sector,” said Beatrice Dumitrascu, VP of Residential Sales at One United Properties.

One United Properties permanently focuses its efforts on developing sustainable real estate projects and on changing the look of neighbourhoods through innovation, architecture, design, leisure and recreation spaces and a concern for the environment. Innovation is found in One United’s use of sustainable materials, reducing the heating effect with light-colored roof elements and green terraces, optimizing water consumption through efficient irrigation, eliminating light pollution, sustainable building operation solutions, etc.
