Apex Alliance opens first Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Romania after a EUR 22.5 million investment

Apex Alliance Hotel Management opened the first Marriott hotel in Romania on October 17 under the Courtyard by Marriott brand. As a 4-star hotel in the financial area of ​​Bucharest, the new Courtyard Bucharest Floreasca is the perfect environment for business clients, meetings and events, as well as leisure travelers.

With this new hotel, Apex Alliance Hotel Management consolidates its position on the Romanian market with the first of three hotels to be opened under the Marriott brand within the next year.

Building the hotel took 3 years, including the design phase, and an investment of almost 22.5 million euros. Courtyard Bucharest Floreasca has 259 rooms over 13 floors, combining comfort and functionality in a modern ambience. The rooms are equipped with desks, secondary lights and ergonomic chairs, which make them a comfortable workspace. The hotel also has 7 conference rooms, which can accommodate a total of 538 people.

The average length of stay at the Courtyard Bucharest Floreasca is estimated at 2 nights and the average occupancy rate is expected to reach 60 percent in the coming months. Prices start at a promotional rate of 70 euros per room and will be aligned with the market in the following months.

“The Romanian hotel market is constantly growing and we can see an increase in both the accommodation offer and the number of tourists. The demand is high. Courtyard by Marriott offers a complete hotel experience for the new business world, so that our guests can pursue their personal and professional passions,” said Adam.

With the new hotel, Courtyard Bucharest Floreasca also opens the doors to its new restaurant, Solt Dining, a premium casual restaurant offering a menu of highest quality local ingredients and inspired by the concept of New Nordic cuisine. The menu offers a contemporary approach to combinations of local ingredients promising a treat for the senses. With a capacity of 84, the restaurant will offer complete services – breakfast, lunch and dinner – in a flexible manner, tailored to the needs of business professionals and modern travelers.

Located in the business area of ​​the city at 2A Dimitrie Pompeiu Boulevard, Courtyard Bucharest Floreasca also offers a conference center, fitness room, and 24/7 shop — The Market — as well as underground car parking.

Courtyard is the largest brand in the Marriott portfolio, in the Classic Select category. The first Courtyard hotel was opened in 1983 in Atlanta.
