XTB Romania has a new GM

Bogdan Albu (picture right) is the new general manager of the local subsidiary of Polish brokerage firm XTB. He is replacing Tadeusz Kuropatwinski who will continue to act as consultant until the transition is completed. Albu joined XTB Romania at the beginning of 2012 as head of sales. He has 10 years of professional background in banking, capital markets, credit and debt restructuring.

He has a master’s degree in financial management and capital markets from the Academy of Economic studies in Bucharest. He is replacing Tadeusz Kuropatwinski whose term ended in December. Kuropatwinski joined XTB in 2009 as associate manager in Poland. The next year he was appointed deputy director of the Romanian subsidiary. In 2012 Kuropatwinski was promoted general manager.
