Now, that the weather forecast officially announces the beginning of autumn, the seasonal festivals are also here. This weekend we also celebrate Bucharest days, so here are our recommendations!

On Friday, a Romanian films night, “The white night of Romanian film” is prepared in 10 locations- cinema rooms, parks or non-conventional places, where 40 SF and documentary short and long films will be on screens. The entrance is free of charge. Unteatru will host a short films program as a tribute for known Romanian actors who passed away.

Saturday evening is the official beginning of 16 days of Independent Theatre Marathon. At the Bucharest Art Theatre you can enjoy the “Coffee shop” play by Sam Bobrick, while at Act Theatre “Flowers for Algernon” is played.

This year Bucharest celebrates 557 years since its foundation. Between September 16 and 18, Bucharest Days will be marked by cultural events that will take place in Piata Constitutiei, Cismigiu Park and Herastrau Park. On September 17, starting from 17:00 the Bucharest Mayor Office together with ARCUB will organize a pop-rock concert in Piata Constitutiei, with Romanian artists such as Andra, Stefan Banica Jr, Zdob si Zdub, Holograf, Vunk, Bere Gratis, Sore, Loredana, Ruby, Connect-R, Gabriel Cotabita, Marcel Pavel, Ovidiu Komornyic, Proconsul, Phoenix.

During the event also street sows of theatre will take place, together with bands from Spain, Italy or France, while clowns and big poppets will pass by spectators.

During September 17 and 18, the ECO festival “Green Life” will take place, celebrating the Bucharest Days and the Global Ozone Days. It will take place in Izvor Park and ecological projects and creative recycling workshops will be presented.  The event is initiated by Pachamama Romania Association, Connections Romania Association, the Ecological University Bucharest and Children Woods Association, supported by the Bucharest Mayor Office.
