The North Atlantic Treaty Organizations (NATO) has launched in Romania the #WeAreNATO awareness campaign designed to inform Romanians, especially the youth, about the core values and activities of the alliance. The local launch is supported by the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education.
The minister of foreign affairs, Teodor Melescanu, said that the campaign also presents the contribution of Romania to NATO and the country’s actions on enhancing the security within the alliance.
“Romania is an equal partner in NATO.
We protect lives. We defend our citizens and territory.
We are united with our Allies for peace and stability.
Romania is NATO, We Are NATO,” said the organization in the description of the campaign’s video.
The #WeAreNATO initiative is carried out in several allied countries. Its concept focuses on the benefits of unity and solidarity between Allies, and the role NATO plays in maintaining Euro-Atlantic security, according to a presentation posted on NATO’s website.
