National gas transporter Transgaz doesn’t expect problems in covering the natural gas consumption for households and industrial users, although the demand reached a record level, according to a release from the company’s site.

„Considering the weather conditions from the last period and the record consumption of natural gas registered at the country level, we inform you that the national transport system of natural gas functions normally and we don’t expect problems in covering the natural gas consumption,” say the company’s representatives.

Thus the national consumption from Tuesday was estimated at around 71.6 million cubic meters. This supply was ensured by the internal production (around 30.8 million cubic meters), from the deposits’ extractions (around 25.8 million cubic meters) and from imports (around 15 million cubic meters).

The value fell compared with Monday, when a record consumption of 74 million cubic meters of gas was recorded.
