Traian Igas, the leader of the Democrat Liberal party in the Senate, has been appointed the new Administration and Interior Affairs Minister. He is replacing Vasile Blaga, who resigned on Monday. In the senate, he serves as he president of the Regulatory Commission. Since 2007 he is the vice-president of the PDL bureau in Arad county. In between 2004 and 2008 he served as a deputy, and as vice-president of the Public Administration Commission. He holds a Masters degree in management in public administration financing.
