Last day to submit the unified tax statement

Newsroom 31/07/2018 | 10:50

Today is the deadline for individuals to submit the unified tax statement, mandatory for those who earn income from self-employment, the disposal of the use of goods, and other independent activities.

Those who file the statement after the deadline will be fined between RON 50 to RON 500 for exceeding the legal term.

ANAF hsa provided a guide for the unified tax statement which include the types of income which must be declared:

  • income/loss from self-employment
  • income from intellectual property rights
  • income from the disposal of goods use
  • income from agricultural, forestry and fish farming, determined in real system revenues from the transfer of securities investment
  • income realized from abroad, such as dividends, interest, pensions.

Individuals who earn income from one or more sources and/or categories listed above, including income from other sources, need to fill out the unified tax statement and owe the health insurance contribution (CASS) if it estimates for the year 2018 incomes whose cumulative value is at least equal to 12 gross national salaries, RON 22,800.

Initially, the deadline for submitting the statement was July 16, but it was expanded to June 31, as ANAF’s online filing system had technical problems.

The fiscal authority provided incentives for obligations declared and/or paid in 2018, and for subsequent years to be rethought. The deadlines for submitting the single declaration for earnings made in 2018 are different from those for 2017.

31 July 2018 is deadline for submission of the declaration for incomes made in 2017 and for those estimated to be made in 2018 (5 percent of the income tax is granted for online submission) and 15 December the payment of the 2018 obligations, with a 5 percent bonus on income tax and 5 percent of the social contributions for early payment or 31 March payment of 2018 obligations without bonus.
