The former Stock Exchange Palace, a historic heritage building located in the heart of the historical center of the capital, has entered into a vast process of commercial redevelopment. The building is leased by Active Property Services.

The agent of the project has hired all of the available space after occupying the 2nd and 3rd floor of the Chamber of Commerce. Commercial spaces on the ground floor of the building were rented to Toan’s Vietnamese restaurant chain (134 sqm), the Bicycle Shop specializing in prestigious English brands La Vita e Velo (104 sqm) and the 150 sqm Café Art Café. All the spaces are arranged and are on the verge of opening.

The emblematic building, built at the beginning of the 20th century at the suggestion of King Carol I, was the Palace of the Stock Exchange during the interwar period and then the headquarters of the National Library of Romania.

In 2008, the building was returned to the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The building is located at the intersection of Doamnei and Ion Ghica streets, in an area with significant potential for real estate vis-à-vis the headquarters of the National Bank of Romania and the new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel inaugurated last year in another renovated historic building extended.

The first wing of the 1,000 sqm area was occupied by NF Palace Old City Bucharest, a local operator’s hotel, which also has other locations in the Old Center.

The last floor was occupied by the Metropolis Architecture Office.
