Simona Simon, Group Creative Director at McCann PR, represents Romania in the PR jury at Cannes Lions 2019. She was selected from a shortlist of Romanian nominees that also included Dorian lie (Rogalski Damaschin) and Andrei Cohn (Cohn & Jansen JWT), both from agencies awarded with Gold Lion.
Simona coordinates from creative perspective the FMCG accounts of the agency, contributing to developing local communication campaigns for brands like Coca Cola, Strauss Group, Coca Cola HBC, CCC Shoes or Carrefour.
While she was Senior Copywriter, Simona tailored online communication strategies and helped developing websites and mobile apps for international and local brands like Anchor Group, Hyundai Romania, Nestle Infant Nutrition, Unilever, Tiriac Holdings, Unicef, British Council or OPEN Venice Biennale.
“Almost a decade ago, after the classes attended at The Alternative School for Creative Thinking, Simona qualified for Cannes Lions experience, which inspired her, set her standards and motivated her to aim high. In 2019, the talent and results placed her on the juror seat, evaluating the shortlisted entries for PR Lions,” said Teodora Migdalovici, Cannes Lions ambassador in Romania and founder The Alternative School.
