Samsung extends SATA range with two new SSDs

Samsung Electronics launched two new SSDs (Solid State Drives), 860 PRO and 860 EVO – the best performing products in the company’s SATA range.

The products are dedicated to users who need speed and reliability for using various applications, from daily work to graphics operations and larger data transfers.

Building on the success of its previous SSDs, the first ones to use V-NAND technology, the new products come with top performance in the SATA SSD industry and bring significant improvements in speed, reliability, capacity and compatibility.

The 860 PRO and 860 EVO drives support reading speeds of up to 560 MB/s and writing speeds of 530 MB/s. The new MJX controller allows a quicker communication with the host system, and it is strong enough to manage the storage of a computer, improving compatibility with the Linux operating system at the same time.

The 860 PRO and 860 EVO are available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, 2TB and 4TB. They are now available in official partner stores in Romania.
