RON hits lowest level against Euro since October 2012

The RON depreciated on Thursday against the euro, up to RON 4.5729 per EUR, this being the weakest exchange rate for the Romanian currency against the European one in the around last four and a half years, according to the data of the National Bank of Romania (BNR).

The weakest day for the RON was on October 24 2012, when the RON/EUR exchange rate was 4.5754.

At the same time, the RON fell against the USD, the exchange rate announced by BNR was RON 4.1140, an inrease by RON 0.101, compared with the value from Wednesday.

According to the source, the Swiss franc reached RON 4.197, by RON 0.259 over the value announced on Wednesday.

The gold ounce appreciated on Thursday by  RON 3.5135 up to RON 166.8745.
