Romania’s Ministry of Energy estimates that the privatisation of Rompetrol Rafinare and Electrocentrale Bucuresti will bring RON 1 billion to the state budget.

The Romanian state owns 44.69 precent of shares of Rompetrol Rafinare through the Ministry of Energy.

“The budget for revenues and expenses connected to the privatisation activities provides: total revenues of RON 1,073,133, thousand, out of which 1,073,065 thousand represents the implementation of the provisions of the privatisation strategy of Rompetrol Rafinare and Electrocentrale Bucuresti, as well as RON 68,000 representing revenues obtained from the sale of presentation files,” a document released by the Ministry of Energy said.

Moreover, the Ministry also estimates that the Romanian state will obtain this year RON 1.5 billion as dividends from companies that operate under the Ministry of Energy.

The document also noted that the CE Oltenia will be listed on the stock exchange. The listing, which has been in talks for the past years, was delayed due to issues affecting the inventory of coal reserves.
