Romania’s aviation authority: Bucharest’s Otopeni Airport should restrict traffic of several types of aircraft

Bucharest’s Otopeni Airport restricted traffic of several types of aircraft after receiving recommendations from the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority.  

The document, which was sent on April 2, asks the airport to restrict traffic. The list of restricted aircraft includes the following categories: “Categoria A- Piper PA-31/Cessna 404 Titan; Category B: Regional Bombardier Jet CRJ-200/De HAavilland Canada DHC-6; Category C: Boeing 737 (-300 – 900), Airbus A320 (318 – 321), Embraer ERJ (170 – 195); Category D: Boeing 757, 767, Airbus A300, A310; Category E: Boeing 747 (SP, -100, -200, -300, -400), 777, 787, Airbus A330, A340, A350; Category F: Boeing 747-8, Airbus A380.

The Otopeni airport can accomodate aircraft in the categories A,B,C and D.
