Romanians will buy more than 1,300 electric or hybrid cars this year

Romanians will buy more than 1,200-1,300 electric cars or hybrid plug-in technology this year through the Rabla Plus program and the trend for such vehicles is rising, according to Cornel Brezuica, president of the Environmental Fund Administration.

Romania allocates the largest bonus for individuals and legal entities wishing to purchase full electric cars or hybrid plug-in technology, of EUR 10,000 and EUR 5,000, respectively.

”Last year, we managed to approve somewhere in 900 to 1,000 such vehicles. Unfortunately, they were not all recorded, as it was a surprise that this number of requests was quite high and for producers who were not prepared that the Romanians’ desire is so big for such cars, this year we will exceed 1,200-1,300 vehicles in my opinion, ”Brezuica said.

The president of Environmental Fund Administration assured that the program will work next year, saying that the state have the budget planned for these investments.
