The Romanian Youth Orchestra, led by conductor Cristian Mandeal, will hold a concert at Varna Summer Fest in the Congress and Festival Center in Bulgaria on July 4.
The Romanian Youth Orchestra will have as soloist the young cellist Stefan Cazacu, who will interpret “Variations on a Rococo theme for cello and orchestra, Op 33” by Tchaikovsky. The program will also include the Symphony No 1 in D major, Op 25 – Classic by Prokofiev and the Symphony No 4 in A Major, Op 90 – Italian by Mendelssohn.
Varna Summer Fest is the oldest musical festival in Bulgaria and one of the events with the longest tradition in Europe, dedicated to classical music. Every yeah, the festival brings on its stage new talents, as well as a variety of musical genres varying from opera to symphonies and choral music.
Throughout the years, Varna Summer Fest has invited internationally renowned musical groups, such as the Schubert Ensemble, the Borodin Quartet, the Odessa National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the Royal Swedish Ballet and many others.
The festival will be held in the Congress and Festival Center in Varna on July 4, from 19:00. The Romanian Youth Orchestra will also perform their concert in the Romanian Athenaeum on July 13 at 19:00 as a beginning act for the “Vara magica” Festival.
