Romanian MPs have new salaries, bonuses scheme

Romania’s Chamber of Deputies published a new scheme of basic monthly gross salaries – related to the Chamber Room Service, within the parliamentary offices, as well as the list of indemnities related to the public dignity functions elected on 31 March 2018 after the transfer of the contributions, Agerpres reports.

Accordingly, the President of the Chamber of Deputies has a monthly gross allowance of RON 21,850; the vice-presidents of the Chamber – RON 20,330; Secretaries and Quaestors – RON 19,950, and the leaders of the parliamentary groups – RON 19,000. The chairmen of the standing committees have a gross monthly allowance of RON 18,430 and the deputies – RON 17,100. For room service functions, the basic salary is subject to a 15 percent increase.

Thus, the general secretary has a basic salary of RON 20,194 and an increase of injurious conditions of RON 3,029. The deputy general secretaries have a basic salary of RON 9,200 and an injurious increase of RON 1,380, the heads of the department have a basic salary between RON 13,757 and RON 15,433, plus the increase of injurious conditions ranging from RON 2,064 to RON 2,315 , and the directors generals have a basic salary of between RON 13,079 and RON 15,433, plus the increase of 15 percent.

The parliamentary advisors have a basic salary between RON 6,573 and RON 10,368, with an increase of injurious conditions ranging from RON 986 to RON 1,555. Also, parliamentary experts have basic salaries ranging from RON 5,988 to RON 8,295, plus a 15 percent increase. Confectioners have a basic salary of RON 3,670 with an increase of RON 551, and the chefs have the basic salary of RON 4,770, with the increase of RON 716.

At the same time, the advisors from the parliamentary offices have a basic salary of between RON 1,900 and RON 7,661, the consultants – between RON 1,900 and RON 3,900, and the drivers between RON 1,900 and RON 2,259. The same salaries are valid for senators from the Romanian Senate.
