Romania imported over 7.4 mln tep oil in 2016

Romanian imported in 2016 over 7.4 million tep oil, with 872,800 tep (13.2 percent), more than in 2015, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

The oil production amounted to 3.57 million tep,  4.3 percent (160,600 tep) higher than 2015.

According to Energy Strategy, published on the Energy Ministry, the oil production is estimated the slow decrease between 2030 and 2050, from 22 to 13 TWh.

The combination of de-carbonization scenario with low oil prices, the oil production will have a twist in 2035, starting from a bold drop to zero.
