The Romanian male tennis team is ready to score three points in the matches against Spain, says the captain of the team, Andrei Pavel during a press conference held in Cluj on Tuesday.
“We hope to be in shape on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, to get the three points we want to obtain,” said Andrei Pavel according to Agerpres.
He added that he knows the Spanish team very well and that they are a very strong team. However, two of the Romanian tennis team players, Horia Tecau and Florin Mergea believe that the bigger pressure is on Spain, as they believe they will not lose the game against Romania.
The male tennis team consists of Horia Tecau, Florin Mergea, Marius Copil and Adrian Ungur. The game, part of the second round of the Davis Cup (Group I, Europe/Africa) will take place in the Multipurpose Hall in Cluj-Napoca between July 15 and July 17.
