Fast-food restaurant chain Spartan posted EUR 14 million turnover in 2016, up by 17 percent compared to 2015, when it stood at EUR 12 million across the chain. Out of the EUR 14 million, EUR 7.3 million represented the turnover of the franchizing company, S.C Strong MND Corporation SRL.

In 2016 the company expanded with 15 units, namely 2 own and 13 in franchise. The investment needed for entering a franchise agreement with Spartan starts at EUR 80,000 for restaurants located in shopping malls and can go up to EUR 15,000 EUR for others, plus the EUR 10,000 franchise tax and several other financial obligations.

The Spartan network was created in 2013 in Suceava, and currently owns 32 units in Bucharest and 19 other cities, ranking fourth nationally in terms of size. The chain employs over 700 staff, namely 250 people in own restaurants.

2016 was an extraordinary year for us, the best since the company was created. The positive financial results are due to the reputation of our brand, of the clients’ trust in the quality of the Spartan taste and experience and of the opening of the 15 new units,” said Anisoara Bataiosu, SC Strong MND Corporation SRL, the company that owns Spartan franchise.
