In the past three months, the rent market maintained fairly stable in terms of prices required by owners. Among the major regional centers, Cluj-Napoca recorded a slight decrease for average rent asked for a two-room apartment (built between 1980 and 2000) from EUR 400 to EUR 390 per month.

Despite this drop, Cluj still has the highest rent levels at the national level, while Bucharest’s owners kept their expectations constant at a value of EUR 350 per month for one such housing unit.

After a slight advance recorded in the second quarter in Iasi, the city has reached a similar rent level to Timisoara and Brasov. Thus, an two-room apartment can be rented in these three cities for about EUR 300 per month.

Interestingly, the expectations of Constanta homeowners are similar to those from Targu Mures, Sibiu, Tulcea and Ploiesti, reaching EUR 250 per month for a two room unit.

The lowest rents can be found in Drobeta Turnu-Severin, where the rental price for a two-room apartment is EUR 150 per month. The claims of owners in Resita are around EUR 165 per month, while in Ramnicu Valcea the rent is EUR 170.

According to imobiliare.ro, at the middle of the market are the rents in Oradea, Pitesti, Braila, Botosani or Craiova, between EUR 200 and EUR 220 per month.
