Profits close to EUR 250 mln for closed-end funds on BVB in five months

The six companies within the financial index BET-FI from Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) accumulated profits close to EUR 250 million for BVB closed-end funds in the first five months of the year. The biggest contribution belonged to Fondul Proprietatea, with a net profit of RON 968.5 million.

The dividends season brought consistent amounts in the closed funds of BVB, so that they exceeded the level of combined gains of RON 1 billion in the first five months of the year.

It’s an improvement of profitability, after at the end of the first quarter the results amounted to RON 317 million. Fondul Proprietatea (FP) registered a net profit of RON 968.54 million until May 31. Overall, the issuers from the structure of BET-FI index obtained profits of RON 1.12 billion.

Out of the SIFs, the biggest bet profits were obtained by SIF Moldova (SIF2) and SIF Transilvania (SIF3), of RON 33.92 million, respectively RON 32.09 million.  SIF Banat Crisana (SIF1) obtained RON 26.85 million and SIF Oltenia (SIF5) registered a profit of RON 23.15 million. On the last place is SIF Muntenia (SIF4) with a result of RON 18.53 million.

The net assets of the closed-end funds on BVB had consistent increases in the last two months. Fondul Proprietatea had net assets of RON 11.35 billion, a growth by 7.12 percent compared with RON 10.69 billion on March 31.

SIF Muntenia has net assets of RON 1.27 billion, by 4.33 percent versus March 31.
