President Iohannis: I am waiting for a solution to the political crisis

President Klaus Iohannis said this Friday that he is waiting for a solution to the political crisis that erupted after the leadership of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) withdrew its political support for PM Sorin Grindeanu.

“In the institutional communication that I have I  am waiting for a solution to the crisis, ” said Iohannis before welcoming the PM of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel.

The ruling coalition PSD-ALDE will hold a vote of no confidence against Grindeanu’s government next week. The PM said he will step down if Liviu Dragnea, the head of the PSD, resigns from his party position.
