Posta Romana board reaches deal with trade unions to end strike

The board of Posta Romana and the representatives of postal workers’ trade union SPLR have agreed on Monday upon the salary increase scheme, from January 1, 2017.

During the negotiations, the parties have agreed on meal tickets value increase to RON 11.5/day/ticket compared with the current value of RON 9, after the coming into force of the law regarding the increase in the nominal value increase in the meal tickets. Also it was agreed the salary increase of RON 80 gross/employee.

This scheme aimed to follow the social equality principles, focusing on the employees with the lowest incomes. As a result of the agreement from Monday, the work conflict will be stopped and the activity of Posta Romana will take its normal course.

Posta Romana apologized to all its the clients and partners for the situation and ensured them that it will respect the legal obligations in the relation with its clients, according to a statement.
